Sonia Khanum

This is Sonia Khanum. She was born into a middle-class family. However, she married a day laborer whose income became challenging to live off. As a result, she borrowed 10,000 BDT from BRAC and built a local restaurant in her husband’s place. She started earning a livable wage through the local restaurant business. Currently, she is operating a loan of 50,000 BDT. As a result, her sons graduated from university, and she is paying for her daughter’s education. Today, her restaurant business is thriving. She thanks BRAC and Blossom Fund for being by her during her tough time.
